PRICE UPDATE - NOV 2025

Thank you for choosing Painted Blue Coffee as your coffee roasting partner. We are committed to roasting and delivering premium coffee while keeping prices as fair as possible.

 

We know price changes are never welcome news. We wanted to explain clearly why we’re adjusting our coffee prices and what we’re doing to protect the quality and service you rely on. This change allows us to keep delivering specialty-grade coffee, timely deliveries and the quality you have come to expect.

 

Global green coffee prices have risen sharply due to reduced harvests in key producing regions, adverse weather events, and shifts in global demand. These increases push up the cost of raw beans for roasters worldwide. At the same time, freight and logistics costs for importing green beans and distributing roasted coffee have risen because of constrained shipping capacity, higher fuel and container rates, and ongoing supply-chain volatility. Together these factors have materially increased our operating costs across sourcing, roasting, and distribution.

 

Why we’re updating prices — the driving force:

  • Retail benchmarks have risen — Major Australian supermarket chains now list specialty coffees typically up to 60 per kg, which reflects broader market movement.

  • Green bean cost increases — The price of quality green beans has grown substantially year-on-year, contributing the largest single cost pressure.

  • Supply chain and inflation — Global climate impacts, transport costs and tariffs have pushed roasting and logistics costs up across the board.

  • Maintaining service and quality — To keep providing single-origin and specialty roasts with traceability and ethically sourced beans an adjustment is required.

 

What this means for your pricing:

We have absorbed as much of these additional costs as possible while protecting roast quality, freshness, and service. After careful consideration, we will implement a modest increase to cover rising green bean prices and freight costs to maintain the standards you expect from Painted Blue Coffee. This adjustment will take effect from Monday, 24 November 2025.

 

We will continue to offer a range of different priced products to accommodate people’s preferences.

We have been reluctant to do this increase prices, as we remain focused on delivering value for affordable quality products. We will continue to:

  • Maintain roast quality, consistency, and on-time deliveries;

  • Pursue efficiencies in sourcing, roasting, and packing to limit future increases;

  • Continue to invest in our local growing experiments, for further sustainable green bean options.

We value your support of our small business. Our aim with this update is to be transparent about the market forces driving these changes and to limit the impact on your daily brews.
