EL SALVADOR - MICROLOT

 This beautiful coffee boasts of fresh strawberry and fresh blueberry with red grape and chocolate flavours, a soft finish.

Introducing this Pacamara variety - a large bean that has been processed naturally, by Ignacio Gutierrez, who has a long history in farming. Before he started planting coffee in the year 2000, he worked with wood and tomatoes and started his farms with just 500 coffee trees. He grows coffee on about 5 manzanas of rich soil in El Salvador and has produced fantastic lots year after year: In both 2011 and 2013, his coffees took first place in the Cup of Excellence (CoE) competition.  

Microlots from El Salvador are sourced from a group of smallholder producers located in the Chalatenango region, in the northern part of the country. Chalatenango, the "valley of water and sand", is El Salvador's coolest and northern-most region.

We choose the name Pequeños for this offering - Pequeños meaning small in Spanish, as it is from a microlot, ironically it is one of the largest coffee beans we have roasted. Enjoy it, it's delicious and limited in quantity,
