Bold, Syrupy sweetness and fruit combos, perfect to start your day, unwind or serve up cold.

Watch this space as the variety & flavour profile offered can change dependent on roaster's choice :) Either way it will be delicious, have juicy acidity and pack a punch!

Our initial Summertime offering from Temam Abamecha Jimmah, also a Natural processed coffee with tasting notes that sing of tropical fruits, think notes of mango, pineapple, passionfruit, with hints of chocolate and vanilla, some nuttiness, This one has a silky body, sweet and tea like. Cools with jammy finish.

Our interchangeable Summertime excursion is to Sidama, where you'll enjoy a bold body Natural with thick syrupy sweetness, notes of blueberry, maple syrup, raspberry, floral and green kiwi.

Lastly, we have added a Yirgacheffe to the mix. This coffee comes from a washing-station at Adado, which is in the kebele, or village, of Shara, in the woreda or district, of Guanga, in the Yirgacheffe region.  In this coffee, typically apricots and peaches with supportive citrus and floral higher tones come together in a delightful cup. The Natural process of this lot really complements the typical profile of the coffee beautifully and even shine through the heavy berry overtones in a natural process. Notably you will experience a balanced and smooth with a fruit like acidity. Rich caramel, raspberry and milk chocolate.

Widely acknowledged as the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopian coffees are highly respected in the specialty coffee industry.

Ethiopian coffees are classified by region, altitude, and cupping score, rather than by variety. At Painted Blue we are excited to offer these Heirloom varieties.

Ethiopian coffee is typically produced in a sustainable way, with the majority grown as garden coffee. This means that it is planted by farmers close to their houses and is often intercropped with other plants. It’s also common for producers to grow coffee in a semi-forest system, in which natural forest is modified with slashing of weeds and bushes for shade regulation and coffee seedlings are introduced. Only an estimated 5% of coffee production is on a dedicated plantation in Ethiopia.

These offering are from Smallholder farmers, delivering these amazing Heirloom Ethiopian varieties.

We love Ethiopian coffees for their complex, almost tropical quality along with their juicy fruitiness and sugary characteristics.
